Title:Microbeman: The Continuing Adventures
Producer:University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, Agricultural Extension Service
Description:Program consists of four single-concept focus videos designed for low-literacy, inexperienced food service workers: 1. The Case of "La Grande Burgere" (E. coli in hamburgers), 2. The Case of Conrad the Egg-Head (the danger zone), 3. The Case of Walley's Salad (cross-contamination), and 4. The Case of the Perfect Pig (personal hygiene). The videos were designed to stand alone, yet make a continuing series with a storyline involving a "super-hero" character portrayed as "Microbeman." Professional actors make this a deliciously entertaining way of presenting food safety principles.
